Stepping Into Your Confidence

I was speaking with a friend earlier this moneth, and having a lively conversation about a number of topics, but mostly the discussion centered around entrepreneurship, the challenges that come with running a business, and our difficulty in stepping into our confidence. It was the talk about confidence that really struck a nerve with me.

Why is it that, when it comes to our businesses and visions, have all the confidence in the world, but when it comes to putting those words to action, we often find ourselves doubting whether or not we can achieve them?

Why do we question our self worth and potential? Do you question yours?

I know when I moved from selling physical products to writing and publishing my own ebooks and information products, I questioned my own self worth and my ability to perform. I've never thought of myself as a writer, because I never thought I was capable of writing anything that would be of interest -- let alone, make any money. I was full of self doubt, and questioned whether or not I would be good enough to make a significant impact. Or at least, enough of an impact that I could earn a living from my product sales as I had done previously.

Eventually, I would overcome this fear and doubt by -- coincidentally -- doing the things I was afraid to do. Write for an audience, publish my work and putting a price tag on the finish product. It took doing this repeatedly, but eventually, I overcame my doubt, and began generating revenue with my writing.

The point is that it takes WORK and ACTION to build confidence.

Simply changing your diet won't build muscle. You'll have to do physical exercise for that. It's the same with building confidence.

Confidence won't come from reading books, listening to audio or simply changing your thinking. (Although that is a great starting point.) It's something that has to be built and harnessed within you, and the only way

Think of building your confidence in the same way you would go back to working out after a long hiatus. You might have been able to lift 100 punds before, but now that yo've taken such a long break, you are struggling to lift even 50 pounds of weight. In order to get back to your regular capacity of lifting 100 punds, you will have to start with lower weights and gradually build yourself back up.

This is how you develop your confidence as well -- by taking small steps that increase your confidence levels.

When working with a client, I often ask, “What has been the biggest impact of your work?”, because we often forget what we have accomplished and how great it was to achieve. Reminding them of what they have done, can lead clients to feel slightly more confident about what they're planning to do next.

The more capable you feel, the more you'll challenge yourself. And the more you challenge yourself, the more confidence you'll have in business and in life.

Take care, and God bless!

We Need Education Not Schooling.

Have you ever wondered why a lot of graduates are churned out of the school system every year and they have nothing to show for those hard-earned years of toiling, all in the name of bagging a certificate?Burning night candles, sleepless nights, cries for admission, money spent, rules to abide by and nothing to show for it?

Hopes of many graduates have been dashed away by unemployment, which some blame to the harsh economic condition of the country. This has not left even first class graduates out.You will see an okada man speaking correct polished english telling you his a graduate. So why the fuss of "I must go to school by fire by force?"Some even rush to further their education after their first degree hoping it will end the misery but still end up in frustration.

Let me make this clear to you'am not an advocate of illiteracy'I personally just got admitted in Unilorin and am barely 18.What I notice among aspirants and most of my friends is that they behave as if their life depends on a school certificate .No wonder when they graduate and the reverse happens they end up frustrated people. This drives some to the height of committing suicide. Why should your life depend on some written A4 paper crap.Am a subsequent visitor on nairaland and I can tell you have learnt more on this this thread, especially career section courtesy of people like X-fire,depreye(if i spelt it correctly) than I will ever learn in the four walls of a classroom.

80% of what you will make use of in real life is not taught in the classroom. Will school teach you how to put up with your nagging boss?Manage your relationship with your family?Developing saving habits?Am even shocked that C.V writing has not been added as a mandatory course for every student in tertiary institution.A lot of graduates don't know how to compute a good C.V.What will fetch you what is in your hands is what is in your head,so what am trying to say in essence is that education is important.

All those theorems and principles taught in school does not apply in the real world. So you need to school yourself extensively to be educated. We still have people that are first class graduate and are educated illiterates.I think educational system needs a total overhaul to suit the era we are in.Some teachings and practices are becoming obsolete.
Get education today!prepare yourself for the real world and stop limiting yourself to that A4 paper grade. You have 5.0 C.G.P.A and you are practically dumb so what?Change your thinking faculty and think wide.Am not yet an adult and I just got admitted and have made a promise not to limit myself. Its not who you are, where you are that matters but your outreach to the world...

Towards Achieving Financial Independence!

Good afternoon, and happy Independence Day, my fellow Nigerians. The celebrations are encouraging from my axis here in PH. The kids in my neighbourhood are in the flag colours.

Please, allow me use this day of Independence as an opportunity to talk about our journey towards financial independence. Without financial independence, almost all other forms of independence will have very little meaning. Money is so important; we spend a sizeable time of our lives seeking money, but often times we lavish that hard earned cash with little or no prudence at all.

Months ago, I created a thread where I discussed certain financial errors that wasted almost all my first five years of work. The comments following that thread were so encouraging, and I determined to never make those mistakes. Months down the line, I've seen tremendous financial improvement singe I started doing the exact opposite of what brought me financial woes and relationship issues with my woman.

I've witnessed pleasurable and appreciable level of financial stability since I disciplined myself into following certain course of actions. I'm only saddened as to why I didn't start earlier. You can never be too late on starting a very noble cause!

Pay Yourself First. Before now, I would pay myself only after I've paid almost everyone. Now, I've created a separate account and has given a standing instruction to have a certain percentage of my pay sent to that account from source. I simply pay MYSELF first. I work for the money. I'm the one who's exposed to all manner of risks and hazards. Apart from forcing me to learn the saving habit, this system also reduces the amount of money I have to spend on my needs and wants. If you don't have too much money to throw around, you've got to manage what's left.

Living With A Budget. A person without a budget is like a city without walls. Budget, with the appropriate level of discipline, has also tailored my expenditures. Having paid myself first, I'm left with NO option than to live with my budget. It's NOT easy to be financially independent. When you don't have a budget, you have little or no control over your money. Others will simply give you their budget. Others will in fact make budgets on YOUR money. Whoever can't fall into my budget will have to wait till that's possible. I'm done trying to please others.

I've Mastered Saying NO! Gone are the days I hardly said NO to any demands from people. Now, I've mastered it. You can't be a GOOD MAN and be rich. People will criticise and call you names when you stick to your financial plans. They can only call you names; they can't take away the money from you. I still give but I do that within the confines of prudence and wisdom. All those who tried to be good men during my childhood days ended up being broke and miserable. Balance is key shaa! But I will never give away my money because I want to be tagged a good man! Never again.

Living Below My Means. I'm not saying much here. It's one of the oldest rules of financial accumulation. I've trimmed my expenditures as to reflect this point. I can't continue living large and foolish just to appear BIG BOY to people that won't be there when the worst happens. I'm the driver and captain of MY life. I'm responsible for this single life of mine. I've stopped pleasing people. It's the only way I could guarantee success.

Other Sources Of Income. No man ever became really financially great having ONLY ONE source of income! I've learned and taken some online courses on investment. That's what the second account I created is actually meant for. Money shouldn't be idle. I'm more interested in making other sources of income.

Building Wealth Takes Time. There no gainsaying the fact I'm still years away from being financially independent, but it's process that has already started. No man ever built wealth over night; if in doubt ask Bill Gates, Carlos Slim, Bishop Oyedepo, Mark Zuckerberg, Aliko Dangote, etc; only thieves and looters can achieve such an unnatural feat! LOL! It takes years, even decades to build lasting wealth. I won't build in a day what Dangote built in decades, but he also started very small. As far as the determination and zeal are intact, it's very much a question of time.

I smile whenever I think of the steps I'm taking to secure my financial future. It's now very clear that it's more of what you do with your me on than HOW MUCH you earn. Parkinsons law says that our expenditures will grow so much as to equal our income. To be wealthy, one must refuse to be a victim of that law.

The future is here. You're here TODAY as a result of the decisions and choices you made YESTERDAY. Where we shall be TOMORROW is a function of the decisions and choices we make TODAY.

How To Become A Nigerian In 15 Easy Steps By Mayo Bayo

1.To be a Nigerian, first you must be religious.
And you must advertise your piety. Sleep in the church, pray against your enemies. Proclaim your religiosity from the rooftops. Mention God’s name in every conversation. In a land where there is so much madness, religion offers you the only opportunity to cling on to a measure of holiness. It is the only way to remind yourself that you are human after all, and that there is something that you still believe in. Commit all kind of sins from Monday to Saturday including fraud of all kind, bring part of it to the church on Sunday and give testimony how God has blessed you.
Police "Sir is your car covered with insurance?"
Driver "My car is covered with the blood of Jesus"

2. Constantly complain that Nigeria is the worst country on Earth.

But when October 1st comes, take complete pride in your origins and celebrate like crazy.Wear green and white to show your patriotism, attend independence party, then 2nd of October go back to your nagging.

3. Learn to love gala and Lacasera drink

As these may be the only menu when you get stuck in a traffic.

4.Learn to be joyous.
Every weekend, attend a party, wear the Aso ebi your friend Shove down your throat, and tell yourself that the biggest achievement that any man can be proud of is to remain alive. It doesn’t matter if you are trapped in squalor. If you are lucky to have some means, then you are truly lucky. That is why we are among the happiest people on earth.

5.Keep a mental note of enemies.

To be a Nigerian, you should have enemies and if you don't have one, you will need to create one for yourself, else who will you blame for your misfortunes or failure. Even the Enemy complains of his enemies.

6.Hang a religious symbol like a cross on your car’s rear-view mirror

Or better, get stickers; religious stickers and stick them on your windshield. It doesn’t matter that you are a completely reckless driver — they will protect and ensure that you reach home safely.

7.Look rich at all time even when you're broke
To be a Nigerian, you won’t climb up the social quo if you don’t “pack” yourself properly. You have to either wear it, drive it or live it, else no one will take you serious. You must be loud with your wealth and accomplishments. Even if you are poor, you must carry on with life with a certain swagger. Don’t ever forget that you are a Nigerian; your country is the sixth largest producer of crude oil in the world, the most populous black nation on earth, and the home of the happiest people in the universe.

8.You must wake up each day dreaming of one hundred other ways of making money
.

9.After making the money, you should also learn how to flaunt it.
The wealth you've acquired need to be rubbed on the faces of those enemies.

10.In George Orwell’s book- Animal farm, all animals are equal but some are more equal, to be a Nigerian you should always have it in mind that, all men are equal by citizenship, but some are to be called Ogas.

11.You must also adore titles to yourself.

It doesn't matter how ridiculous they might sound; titles like Chief, Hajia, Alhaji, Otunba, Dame, and other professional titles like Doctor , Engineer. They show how important you're and why people should regard you. These titles show the exercise of lust for respect, authority, and power to satisfy your unworthy egos and vanity, so you must add one to your name.

So you can now call yourself Alhaji Dr. (Chief)........

12.To be a Nigerian, you must be very cautious all the time, treat all with nothing less than suspicion.

13.You should not be able to speak your native language or if you can you should pretend not to be able to speak your native language, even while your battle with English Language remained evident, else people will think you're country-side’, ‘village-bred’, or ‘unexposed’.

14.To be a Nigerian, you must be an optimist. A pessimist is not a Nigerian.

This is the only way to survive is to always hope; hope there will be constant power supply, hope for change, hope that your boss at work will promote you as you can't remember the last time you got promoted, hope that one day boko haram will stop bombing, you have to always anticipate a brighter future else you will die of depression before old age. And this hope needs some rekindling, so for you to be a Nigerian you also need to be an ardent reader of motivational books.

15.To be a Nigerian, you don't have to be too time conscious, arrive late to any event, the event will most likely have not started when you finally arrive late.

16.Also, for you be a Nigerian, you also have to portray Ethnicity and tribal sentiment;Yorubas are these... Hausas are that, Igbos are those...etc

Finally, you're now a Nigerian, but learn how to scream “Do you know who I am?” when you find yourself in certain situations.

Of course, you're now a Nigerian but you still need to confirm if people truly know who you are.

Oya you can now start hurling your insults cause you all hate the truth.

How You Can Discover Your Purpose On Earth

What Living On Purpose Really Means

Living on purpose simply means being able to give a correct account of the WHY for every of your daily actions. It means to live your life like a man/woman on an assignment; having short term, medium term, and long term goals for your life. It means living a planned life. Living on purpose implies a longer life for you; and not just that alone; it also means a life full of impact and meaning. It is a life worth living.

Nothing can be more frustrating as drifting through the days of your life robotically, feeling vaguely lost and dissatisfied; angry at life, angry at people, blaming everyone else but yourself. People with a lack of purpose float rather than swim. They are passive in life rather than active. They flow with the tide and will rarely row hard against it.

They are shortsighted, helping fulfill everybody’s dreams but their own. Their lives are an emotional roller coaster, with more troughs than peaks; bored with themselves, often finding a way to distract themselves whenever possible. They rather find joy in foolishness such as strategising on how to get laid, flagrant display of clothes and its accesories, flaunting of electronics that are already outdated in Europe, binge drinking, joining confraternal brigandages in campuses, etc.

This may be sounding vitriolic, or looks like a cynical viewpoint, but I’m afraid it isn’t. This is reality. I was a victim of lack of purpose for many years. Some of those days, I stayed awake all night, pondering what on earth I was born to do in life. I was so easily distracted by anything at all; lacking focus and direction; spending my life on 2go and facebook looking for fine girls to ask out.

My Story

Between my first year in the medical school and fourth year, I vascillitated constantly on what I wanted to do after school; because I clearly lacked direction. In my first year in school, I wanted to specialise in Orthopaedic Surgery because I had an uncle who was a successful orthopaedic surgeon. Problem arose when I tried to get close to him to be my mentor then, but sadly, I discovered that he didn't believe in me. He thought I would never make it through medical school. He constantly spoke words of fear each time I visited him; telling me stories upon stories of young chaps who couldn't make it beyond the 2nd MBBS examinations. I lost my confidence and self esteem listening to him constantly, so I stopped visiting him.

I later changed my mind to Ophthalmology in my second year; then Obstetrics and Gynaecology in my third year. Later on, I decided I was going to be a top entrepreneur, with a focus on importation of drugs and running a one stop pharmacy complex. But my contract with confusion had not been severed. There was more confusion to come.

In my fourth year in school, I decided that I was going to be a pastor with my church, Living Faith Church, aka Winners’ Chapel. I greatly admired my Bishop, Dr David Oyedepo; thus in pursuit of the annointing for the ministry ahead, I abandoned my academic texts for many months as I went on many personal retreats. I missed tutorials and clinics while reading up on several books on Faith, Miracles, Power, etc, and I listened to hundreds of tapes in the process. I was the president of our fellowship then in campus. Needless to say, I dropped in my academic performance in school during this period of my search for the annointing and I’m sure you know why.

Due to this effect on my academic studies, I gave up on being a pastor when I leave medical school and I faced my books squarely in order to return to my academic best. It was during this time that I became angry at God and at the religious folks around me. I rebelled vigourously against God in my mind. I cared less anyway since I clearly couldn't diagnose my problem.

It was not until my fifth year that it all came together. I had more clarity than ever before. Nothing gives more clarity than a sense of purpose.

Are you feeling like a confused automaton trapped in a cold and unforgiving matrix? I’ll show you a way out; how I solved my own puzzle of living without a purpose and a direction. Grace to you.

How I Discovered My Purpose.

1) I spent one weekend alone, thinking and reflecting on my CORE VALUES.

You see, our values are a pointer to where our calling lies. For instance, I discovered that my core values included
~Integrity and Sincerity
~Curiousity (Yes, it's true. I'm a curious person. I lack discipline and order). The meaning is that I hate routine and would likely rebel against norms than follow them.
~Hardwork
~Dedication
~Respect
~Loyalty
~Love, Compassion and Sharing
~Impact, Recognition and Appreciation
~Family and Friends.
I wrote them down, and decided that I would walk away from people, associations, societies, and cliques that do not share at least half of these values. There is a correlation between purpose and your values.

2) I looked inward to discover what my PASSION really was. For instance, I have more passion for public speaking and making power point presentations than I have for hospital job. Thus while my value for Love, Contribution and Sharing will keep me in the practice of medicine, my passion for communicating hope and direction will keep me afloat as a public speaker.

3) I analysed the things that gave me PAIN and STRESS.

Many of us have been hurt and disappointed severally by people. For instance, I lost a sibling who was supposed to be my elder brother to a careless doctor who was treating him for malaria for several weeks while he was suffering from anaemic heart failure; which eventually took him. He was the only son of my parents then; with five girl-children ahead of him already, so you can imagine the pain of my parents at losing a son they've been waiting for.

You see, there will be defining moments in your life. You don't have to forget them; but heal from them and turn them into a message/career. Make sure someone close to you does not have to go through the same things that hurt you in the past.

4) I took a look at the PROBLEMS around me.

I believe that problem solvers are men of purpose. Problem-solving will shoot you to relevance and make you a man-on-assignment; a man of purpose. I found a problem.

When I was a student, one problem I saw was a sea of people who didn't know why they were in school. Some naive girls as young as 16 or 17 years were readily snapped up by smooth talkers who go on to persuade them to move in with them. Every night is a night of rumble under the sheets. These girls enter the university as good, homely girls but are turned to sex objects before they leave school. These are people's future wives for that matter. I saw it as a social problem that needs to be solved. It pained me, so I started talking about it. I will enter a class early in the morning before a lecturer comes in and plead for attention from them to hear me out. I talked in hostels too. Little did I know that I was sharpening my public speaking skills and perfecting myself in the art of persuassion; at the same time, making an impact in the lives of first year students.

5) I spent time bathing myself in PRAYER; asking God why He created me, and sent me to my family, my community, my state, and Nigeria. Why was I born in Nigeria and not in Luxemburg?

I prayed until I had peace in my mind that God wanted me to practice medicine and not to be an entrepreneur/importer of drugs after medical school. Lol.

You see, I believe the bible is a universal book that has sold more than any book on earth; filled with so much wisdom. Thus whether you're a christain, muslim, or an atheist, I hope you draw inspiration from a story I read in Habakkuk 2vs1-3 that taught me this 5th point.

Prophet Habakkuk said he will stand on his watch (the place of prayer), to hear what God will tell him. Then God gave him his purpose and told him to write it boldly and in plain letters. God further encouraged him with further words of hope. You can find your purpose like this.

Warning

1) Ladies, please never marry a man that clearly lacks purpose. They are everywhere, parambulating up and down without a purpose/plan for their lives. It will be a Holy Padlock, not a Holy Wedlock; because they will sit over your purpose/plans/ambitions; feeling threatened at your progress since they themselves lack purpose. They are the type of men that graduate into abusers; battering their wives at the slightest issue because they try so hard demanding for respect instead of earning it with their grand purpose/plan/ambition/sense of direction. The stories on internet portraying all sort of abuses meted out to women are enough lessons. Beware, lest you forget.

2) Gentlemen, please do not marry a clearly clueless, naive woman who is unsupportive, directionless, and totally dependent and needy, without a life of her own. As a single lady, her highest calling is spending time strategising on how to tie down a man of her own; warming a hundred beds in town without planning on how to be a wife/mother/resourceful partner/efficient manager of resources/home-maker.

A sense of Purpose/Assignment solves all that. It has a way of confering wisdom for living to people who discover theirs.

My Prayer For You

If you're currently reading this, I believe you're a messenger; and you need to know that. You were designed with an end in mind so you should discover it and fulfil it.

The spotlight is on you now. May your life never lack a sense of purpose. You’ll never drift through life again. You’ll go from wandering aimlessly to possessing your future. You will own it.

You shall experience a quantum leap - a radical ascent of grace, shooting you up into new realms of life, not traceable to your natural ability.

You shall experience unpredicted emergence; a show up on the scene supernaturally, like the Wind, and taking your space by storm!

You shall experience a mighty rescue from habits stronger than you, plus the licence for a future better than your past.

God will take over your life and you will become a different person by grace. Your soul will be emptied of pain, and the curtains will lift for new light.

Grace to you. Grace to me too.

Things An Average-looking Guy Can Do To Increase His 'market Value

As you can tell, this is a reply to emusmith's thread. Apologies in advance, it won't look sexy.

1. MAKE MONEY: Yes, money makes the world go round and turns a frown to a smile. So if you want women, make money and you'll have them- the downside is, they only care about the money.

2. BE INTELLIGENT: Where you have no money, intelligence always works. They come to you to help them in assignments, tutor them and all that. This is a much better way to get a girl to actually like you than point 1.

3. BE FUNNY: Yes, ladies love funny guys. Ask Bovi and Elenu grin. This is a major way guys get women, ladies easily get smitten by the guy with the sense of humour. Even in school, the funny guy is more often than not, the ladies man

4. HAVE A NICE DRESS SENSE: Ladies love a well-dressed, clean cut brutha. Get the nice watch, the classy outfits and the d-ope shoes and watch the ladies fall. Don't overdo it though, nobody dates a nigga who looks like a P.I.M.P

5.ELOQUENCE: Sounding like Idris Elba or Yul Edochie will really increase your market value. And yes, that baritone will be an added bonus. Onitsha boys baritone will NOT work

6. WORK OUT: Some ladies may need surgery to enhance certain body parts, but the dumb bells and tread-mills are far cheaper. Get to gyming guys, a man who looks strong always gets the attention of ladies.

7. IF ALL ELSE FAILS....ROLL WITH THE HOT GUYS: Then girls have to go through you, the 'easy' guy, to get to your hot friends and someone might just pick interest and date you grin grin

That's my list guys, any additions?

Ladies, 5 Habits You Must Stop If You're Ready To Settle Down For Marriage

Ladies, 5 Habits You Must Stop If You're Ready To Settle Down For Marriage

Most ladies when ripe for marriage unknowingly put off their suitors away by displaying some bad habits subconsciously making them feel later on that the reason they couldn't get married is as a result of the witches following her from the village when in truth, the problem lies with her. Let's see how we can get rid of those habits.

1) Stop Being A Flirt:
This not only sends a guy away from you but also sends signals that you can't be a faithful wife if indeed you both get married.
Most guys can't differentiate when you're just being nice around persons of the opposite sex and when you're actually a Flirt. Stop making him feel insecure and start making him feel secured.

2) Cutoff Links To Potential "Bad" Friends:
Just like the saying, "Show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are". Changing of your so called "Am happy for you friends" goes a long way in securing your relationship. Sometimes the problem isn't with the lady nor her spouse but with their friends. Sit down and have a good reassessment of the friends you keep. You don't want to have a snitch as a friend, do you?

3) Stop being extravagant with money:
Being rich and acting to be rich are two different things. Spending money too much and being extravagant is a big No No for most guys. It shows you don't have any idea on money saving and can't soak garri with your man when the finances are down(Am telling you, most men actually think about that)

4) Stop The Pride Show When You're Around His Parents;
Like seriously, you can't help out your mother in-law to be in the kitchen, nor help pack the dishes in after eating and you expect her to give her blessings to marry her son?. Don't be a joker. It wouldn't take you anything to be humble af when you're around his parents. The easiest way to win a man's heart is to win that of his parents first.

5) It's An Abomination To A Man To Say You Can't Cook:
Like WTF?? Don't tell me if we get to that bridge we'll cross it, hell no! Don't deceive yourself, like they say "Love fades but hunger doesn't". You know you can't cook? A part time catering school would do you great good.

5 Smart Things Unemployed Graduates Can Do To Survive In Nigeria

The Nigerian economy, presently, is not in an enviable condition and we all know that the 'street' is not friendly and it has not been easy with many graduates. Does this mean that one should continue to wait till a well-paying job comes along?  NO!!! Staying idle, doing nothing is not just dangerous but also risky for any young man or woman in our society today! The language therefore is...Hustle! Hustle!! Hustle!!!

Many young graduates who thought that life was a bed of roses during their undergraduate days are now becoming more of realists after being faced with the harsh realities of living without a job in a developing country like Nigeria where the citizens hardly enjoy any meaningful welfare package!!!

The truth is that there's nobody out there who doles out money to anyone so you need to get up, dust your ass and forge ahead! Below are some ways you can earn money as an unemployed graduate in Nigeria to take care of your pressing and immediate needs: wink cool

1) Freelance property Agent: You do not need a start-up fee or an office for this one. Just liase with big registered and trusted propery agencies and estate managers by bringing clients such as land buyers and people looking for accomodation. You can advertise your services via sign-posts or digital banners, placed in strategic places such as busy street and road junctions; make sure your contacts are clearly displayed. If any deal clicks, there's a certain percentage you collect from the estate managers/housing agents based on agreement. You see, you don't even need to move about like Johnny Walker cheesy. All you do is act like a sales person or a middle man that brings the clients to the agents! It pays!!! cool

2) Turn Food Vendors on Sundays: It shouldn't surprise you why I advise you turn a food vendor on Sundays. It is a fact that Nigerians are very religious people and as such, most shops, restaurants and business ventures do not operate on Sundays. Have you ever felt badly hungry on Sunday before?  I guess you know how it feels. There are lots of bachelors and spinsters who hardly have time to cook due to work pressure and others who are just generally too lazy to do that. Cooking assorted types of food to sell on Sundays can help people who hardly cook. You can position yourself in busy places that you know you will be easily seen! I tell you today, if your foods taste good and are well-packaged, you are neat, friendly or jovial, people will patronize you. You can also cook and take to night clubs on Fridays and Saturdays to sell. Make sure you include the local delicacies in that area to your food menu. What I mean is that it shouldn't just be the normal rice, beans and 'dodo' stuff. For instance, if you reside in Warri, you should include foods such as Banga Soup, Ogwo Soup and Starch. Again, if your foods taste good and well packaged and you are also neat and friendly, people will patronize you! There's no shame in hustle!!! cool

3) Customize Shirts and Sell To People: You can also generate income through this means. Buy shirts in bulk; especially, Golf and Polo shirts and customize them with the names of family members, friends, neighbours, church members and some notable figures in your neighbourhood who you are friendly with. When people see their names already crested on the shirts, they won't have any other option than to buy, especially, when they have the cash. Since you are buying in bulk, you can buy the shirts for 800-1000Naira each and sell for 2.5k or 3k. You can be making a profit of 1.5k for every shirt you sell!!! wink. Take note that you will pay the person who customizes the shirts but still know it is cheaper when you customize in bulk!

4) Private Lesson/Tutoring: Dem say na 'bros I dey shame, bros I dey shame na e make guy man turn to beggar o! It should be better if you possess teaching experience or have a strong passion for teaching. You can talk to family members, friends, acquaintances, church members, etc, that are in the teaching field to connect you to parents who want private home lesson teachers for their children. Some parents pay up to 15k per child while others pay up to 10k!!! Sometimes, you teach 3 children for 20k-25k!!! If you have up to 3 or 4 different families who you teach their kids, do you know how much that is?  You could be making up to 70k every month! Some bankers can't even boast of that as their monthly salary! I rented my first apartment with the money I realized from this; na wetin you nor know na e your mates take pass you o! wink.Take note please: If you don't have passion for teaching or you are not sound upstairs, please don't do this so that you don't end up turning an already poor-performing child to a complete Olodo!!! wink

5) Freelance Marketer: You must not own a business or be a producer before you market things. You can earn money as a freelance marketer for other people's product and get commission for your services. You would still have time to focus on other areas of your life since the establishments whose products you market did not directly employ you so cannot tie you down 24 hrs!!! You can liase with school owners during long holidays and win students over to their schools through oral personal adverts and practical demonstrations as new session begins for a particular fee!!! You can work as a freelance marketer for that boutique too!!! cool

Please, don't mind some of my terms and language in this post, I was raised in the streets of Warri...where we hustle everyday!!!

May God bless the hustle of every Nigerian graduate out there trying hard to make success and life a reality even with the intimidating obstacles that seem to abound!!!
WE SHALL OVERCOME IN THE NAME OF THE MOST HIGH!!! AMEN!!!
